DSLRS

 1. Set the correct video settings:
press menu, on the first slide go to image quality and set it to this symbol.

2. Set the correct video settings:
Next flick across a couple slides to movie rec size and set to 1920x1080 25

3. Set the lens to MF:
On the side of the lens is a little switch, flick it to MF from AF. Focusing the lens whilst in AF can damage the lens.
4. Set to manual:
Roll the wheel on the top of the camera till the M lines up with the little dash on top of the camera.
5. Shutter Speed:
Use the scroll wheel (not the whole above) by the shutter release to adjust shutter speeds. 50 is perfect for film.

6. ISO :
Change your iso settings by holding the button labelled iso and using the wheel above to scroll through.
7. Aperture:
Hold the button labelled Av and use the scroll wheel to adjust the aperture.

In this lesson we were given a tutorial on how to use the DSLR cameras for our music video. we were taught all the various buttons and what each one meant. also how to manage the lighting on our cameras for the different locations that we may video our music videos in.

This was a real advantage for my group as we were not very confident with using the camera before the tutorial as we did not know much about it but after this we learnt a huge amount.
