Focus Group/ Pitch

We were given the opportunity to feed our ideas to our class and also get back some feedback and ideas of ways in which we could improve our music video.

- Audience were confused with the meaning of the song as they were not from the country where the song had come from
- The song is sang in Ghana by children when playing games, we were asked if we would use this idea in our music video and have children featured in it.
- From the ideas that we pitched of having someone listening to music at the beginning a suggestion was given to us that we should have a child listening to the music rather than a teenager as the song is originally sang and made for children.
- Include the whole African culture throughout the video
- Another suggestion that was given is to follow what is done during African parties where a child is usually the centre of attention and having them dancing in the middle.
- We were also asked about where we would shoot our video and one of our class mates had told us that we should shoot in a studio and have the Ghanaian flag in the background
- Our teacher also advised us not to have too many dancers in the video as it may become too much
- We were also given advice on how to record particular scenes in our music video as we lacked certain equipment’s to do what we wanted
- Another member of our class had given us an alternative of how to film the scene we wanted.
